I’ve had this book on my “to-read” list for a while, even before I had heard about the movie. But I’ve had it for nearly two weeks and I’m only on page 90 of 400 and I think it’s time to give up. The writing is unnecessisarily difficult and I can’t get into it. I read some yesterday on my lunch break and was pulled in by an X-Files reference, but I don’t think the main character/narrator would watch the X-Files or any TV show really. I don’t normally give up on books, but maybe I don’t normally pick books that I don’t like. Anyway, I think it’s time to take this back to the library.
